Bore Holes
The actual event of Drilling a Bore Hole in the Bush is a huge draw! People from all around will come to the site, and watch as machines drill hundreds of feet into the earth. The process is noisy, dusty, and then MUDDY! But the excitement of knowing there will be a reliable, CLEAN water source is the real joy of it all!
A deep well, or Bore Hole, costs $2,500. This type will have a manual pump, and a concrete skirting around the well. The surrounding village will usually construct a fencing of sorts to keep livestock away. Most bore holes will have well over 4,000 people benefitting from the water supply.
